This technical presentation including demonstration will introduce Oracle Autonomous Databases with details about currently available autonomous data management services optimized for different and specific workloads:
Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), available from the beginning of the year, and the newest Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) announced in August.
Like an autonomous car, the Oracle Autonomous Database provides a level of performance and reliability manually managed databases can’t deliver. Compared to a manually managed database, the Autonomous Database costs less to run, performs better, is more available, and reduces human labor to provision, secure, monitor, backup, recover, troubleshoot, and tune databases.

Morana Kobal Butković, author
Morana Butković has been working in Oracle Hrvatska d.o.o from 1998, initially as Technical Support analyst in Oracle Support organization. After technical support role, she work as Cloud Platform Sales Consultant in Central and East Europe presales competence center for Oracle Database and options and Oracle Exadata Database Machine platform.
