The presentation will show how Data and Databases can be used efficiently in a Microservices-environment. Based on simple use-cases we will show how data-stores and databases can be access and used by microservices, and how avoid the bottlenecks and problems that Microservices seem to have with data and databases.After the presentation, the attendee will be better able to choose and decide on when and how to use Data efficiently with microservices.

Pieter De Visser, author
Piet is a Database Consultant and DBA.He is in IT since 1987, and specialises in Oracle-, Postgres- and Databases-related technology since 1994. He combines conceptual knowledge and technical know-how with working-experience in small and large organisations, both local and international.He also invests a lot of effort in maintaining a network of Like-Minded database-specialists worldwide and is a regular speaker at international user group events and symposia.Piet likes to Travel, preferably by motorcycle, speaks various languages more or less acceptably, and is alway interested in learning how to say "Hello" and "Thank You" in a few more languages (provided he can learn it on site).
