Introducing the background to Cloud native technologies and comparing various technologies with traditional monolith architectures this presentation is aimed at helping attendees understand their options when looking at cloud native technologies, especially when looking to move existing monolithic code to take advantage of the benefits of cloud native. It will also briefly cover the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services available to support this migration

Tim Graves, author
Tim Graves is a Cloud Native and open-source solutions architect working for Oracle as part of the Europe, Middle East and Africa team. He joined Oracle as part of the Sun Microsystems acquisition in 2010 having initially started at Sun in 1989.He has been working on Cloud projects in Oracle since 2011 in the communications, Java and cloud teams.In addition to Cloud Native Tim has worked in many parts of Sun and Oracle in the areas of operating systems, IoT, security, Java, and storage in field and headquarters roles.When not working with computers Tim is a keen skier and an unprofessional chef.
